Lamson & Goodnow (LamsonSharp) is the oldest cutlery maker in the United States. They are still in the original 1851 manufacturing building. Lamson is committed to the safeguarding of the environment and even owns and operates its own hydroelectric plant on the Deerfield River.
Once you use LamsonSharp cutlery you’ll never go back to anything else. The excellent quality and the feel and performance of these knives is unforgettable.
LamsonSharp knives are made from forged, one-piece, full tang blades of top quality, high carbon stainless steel that is fully hardened and tempered. The blades are taper ground and given a bevel edge and then hand honed. LamsonSharp knives are all covered by the Sharp for life program, which means that your LamsonSharp can be sharpened for life by the craftsman who actually made it for you. The Oiled Rosewood handles are extremely durable and beautiful at the same time. They are riveted with brass/nickel rivets that add to each knife’s perfect balance and weight. These knives have a lifetime warranty.
Lamson & Goodnow cutlery uses only the finest stainless steel from Solingen, Germany. Solingen, Germany has the reputation as a knife-making center and of making some of the best knife-grade steel in the world. Generally, anything made from Solingen steel is highly prized, whether it is for knives, kitchen cutlery or surgical instruments.
